United West Republic

Party Objectives

United West Republic was formed to educate and organize people interested in forming a new Independent Republic of Western Canada.   The new proposed representative government constitution is based on the principle of individual rights (most notably, protected individual property rights), the pursuit of happiness, limited and accountable government structure whose only role is to protect all individuals from the initiation of force from others and therefore will uphold these individual rights by defending them against said force.  In order to defend these individual rights government's role must then  be limited to a strong military, police and justice system with a supreme court whose judges must be held to account by the people for any action which would not provide the protection of individuals as described therein the constitution.

It is understood by members of UWR that, under the current parliamentary structure of government in Canada, the people are the lowest class “commoners” who do not have a true voice in decisions made to shape their communities, local, provincial or federal.  In addition, the people of Canada have never had protected individual rights.  The common good of society has always taken precedence over any individual rights.  That fact has opened the door for unlimited socialism and the loss of freedom for Canadians.

In the existing political system of Canada, the people do not have the legal power to hold their government representatives accountable for governing decisions in any matter at all, whether it be opportunity to control their individual standard of living, freedom of movement, access to health care, education of their youth or proper protection of their individual rights through justice and the military.

It is also understood by our members that an elite group now exists in Canada, who can be named or changed by the governors at any time, and who, by the assistant of government crown corporations and appointed commercial advantage, funnel economic advantage to the elite group(s) in the form of commercial monopolies, spin-offs and tax (income tax and user tax) redistribution, toward this elite group, at whim, through coercive legislation and an Official Bilingualism policy,  without the permission of its citizens.

Nations where the people are not free have a philosophy of Statism.  Statism is practiced by controlling governments through the marketplace and social engineering in education and the media.  Socialism or fascism are two ways governments control the people’s culture and economy for their own gain.  Canada is a mixture of socialist (government owning the institute or business outright – hospitals and schools) and fascist (people own the business but government control it through licenses, permission, franchises, subsidies and purchasing power) economies.

The name of the economic system which the members of UWR believe to be the only moral social system for man to live is called Capitalism.

In order for capitalism to thrive it requires a limited government role. It requires that role to be the protection of all individuals against the initiation of force from any person, foreign region or government representative.

UWR believe this new changed political system will give rise to true opportunity for individual economic freedom through the social system of laissez-faire capitalism.  Capitalism is a system where all can be winners and live benevolently through trade for equal value.  Opportunity will open up for the pursuit of freedom and happiness of all individuals and fair justice for all.

20 POINT PROGRAM

Fundamentals of Government Structure

We believe that the parliamentary form of government is deeply flawed from the core.

The reasons are:

1.  We do not have the right to vote for any of our leaders, Federal or Provincial.

and

2.  We do not have the right to vote for our federal Senate.

Only in a parliamentary system . . . .

Without an Elected Federal Senate - one that is empowered to impeach the leader to keep the leader in check, the People have no direct power in government.  Canadians do not have a representative government at this time.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The following is only possible in a Republican form of government:
  • The new leader of our Republic shall not be the leader of any political party.
  • The leader must campaign across the nation for the office of “National Leader” as an independent person, specifically for the office of “Leader” of the Country.
  • That means that they are answerable to the People only, not to the Queen of England, NOR to their political party.
  • The leader shall be elected for a specific length of time.
  • The government shall not fall on a vote of non-confidence any time during the president’s term in office.
  • The national leader shall not be replaced by his political party at any time.
  • The only way to end the leader’s term in office is through impeachment by the People through their elected representatives, the Congress and the Senate or by death or physical impairment such as incapacitating health reasons.
  • A national election shall never be called during the term of the president!
  • The vice president is always ready to step in during a crisis in leadership!
  • The leader shall swear allegiance to the Flag and the Nation that it stands for, not to a power outside the Country considered higher status than the People.
  • The federal senators shall campaign for that office all throughout their State.
  • In a new Republic, each province (which by definition means “dominated territory”) shall become an independent State with their own elected Governor.
  • Each state shall have an allotted number of senators equally divided between the states regardless of the population differences between regions.
  • There would be the same number of senators per state (for example – three each for BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba).
  • The president shall never “appoint” any senators, cabinet ministers, or the supreme court.  The president may nominate a potential candidate for supreme court judge, then to be scrutinized by all houses of government before being accepted to rule on the supreme court.
  • In this way the states with the most population will not be able to control the other states of smaller population density.
  • All states then become equal through the Elected Senate.
  • This automatically becomes the Triple “E” Senate that Preston Manning could only dream about - Elected, Equal and Effective.
  • This Senate is impossible to achieve in the parliamentary system of government.
We advocate and practice Objectivism, the moral philosophy developed by Ayn Rand.
The  Tax  Hell!
Ludwig Von Mises. . "Everything brought forward in favor of socialism during the last hundred years, in thousands of writings and speeches, all the blood which has been spilt by the supporters of socialism, cannot make socialism workable. Nothing has shaken the proof that under socialism economic calculation is impossible."
Karl Marx. . . ..
"All productivity is Evil!"
Andrew Wilkow
"Socialism cannot exist without business. "
"The characteristic of a Liberal Elitist is the belief of a due right to all they desire no matter how ostentatious. All the while sitting atop a power structure attempting to limit the ability of others to obtain as they have. The sold reason is said limits provide for a common good. "
